Music Industry Weekend 2012 – success!

Our TENTH Music industry Weekend was great!  I want to share some photos with you…

I hope you enjoyed those and will make a plan to join us next year, October 24 – 27, 2013 for the 11th Music Industry Weekend. Subscribe to this website to stay apprised of the plans as they develop, and to keep up to date on our alumni activities.

I will be building an additional scrapbook as time permits and establishing another Flickr site too!

Here’s a couple photos of the “firepower” we had on site

Message from the Mountain

Hi gang! I’m at Bosch Baha’i School right now on a short break between workshops.  We’re having a great time up here and the weather is perfect.  Plenty of new talent this year from younger and older first-time participants.  And a number of superb returning veteran performers as well!  The crowd is small (by comparison to previous years) but they brought a lot of fire power!

More Later….

New Topic Added

I had ONE open spot on our agenda, when I received a message from Katharine Key saying she was coming to Music Industry Weekend this year.

Katharine is one of our founding participants and was a prime-mover in the “Unrestrained as the Wind” CD

She has volunteered to fill our remaining workshop spot (Friday afternoon) with a facilitated discussion on “The Arts as a Gateway to Community Engagement.”

What does that mean?  Well, it will mean whatever the participants  contribute to the discussion, but Katharine has a lot of experience with musical firesides and inspiring community involvement. She was engaged in Washington DC’s “Tiny Planet” series and can share some practical experience.  She is also interested in creating arts modules for Junior Youth Groups and would love to include your ideas in the discussion.  This is Music in direct service to the Faith. If you’re ready for this, join the workshop!
